Coconut chips, roasted
Here it becomes spicy, because through gentle roasting processes the unmistakable taste of the coconut is strengthened. The roasting process does not harm the valuable ingredients: high-quality vegetable protein, digestive fibre and plenty of minerals are the plus points of these fine chips. The starting product for this treat are coconuts from sustainable cultivation. About 12 months pass from the pollination of the blossom to the full ripeness of the stone fruit. Protected by the fibre layer and an additional leathery outer skin, they grow on coconut palms up to 20 m high. They are harvested by hand all year round so that fresh produce is always on the market. The dried flesh of selected coconuts is used for the production of our organic coconut chips. A few days after drying, it is planed into fine chips and tastes particularly good.
Use
Roasted organic coconut chips taste good everywhere, where besides the typical coconut aroma the strong bite is in demand. Muesli is at the top of the favorites list here. The crunchy chips complement dry fruit mixes and provide exotic variety in nut mixes. Roasted organic coconut chips are ideal as topping, because they keep their bite. Sprinkled over salads, as an indispensable ingredient for Asian dishes, with fish and poultry they also give savory dishes that certain something. In vegan and vegetarian cuisine, roasted organic coconut chips are also a must. Bratlings are loosened up and their taste is enhanced. They complement bread spreads and, with their fat content, help to ensure that the vitamins in fruit salads and smoothies can be properly broken down.
