Coconut oil, refined

Refined oil brings with it a better exploitation of the raw material copra. Its taste is less intense than that of native oil, which can be advantageous depending on the intended use. Refined coconut oil has a high proportion of saturated fatty acids. It is mainly used for cooking, baking and roasting, since the smoke point is higher in this production than in cold pressing. However, even refined organic coconut oil has an essential property that is appreciated in coconut oils: it can be spread at room temperature. It becomes solid when stored in the refrigerator and becomes more and more liquid at temperatures above room temperature, about 25°. Coconut oil is suitable in combination with other vegetable oils for the production of margarine. It is cholesterol-free and pure from animal components, so that it is also appreciated in the vegan kitchen.

Use

Coconut oil creates a cooling effect in the mouth due to its physical property. Therefore it is used for the production of ice cream, ice confection and coating masses. Organic coconut oil is also ideal for the production of pralines and finely melting chocolates. The increasing demand for food free from animal ingredients has contributed to coconut oil becoming the raw material for vegan chocolate. Coconut oil is also used as a spread, pure and sweetened as well as savory. Refined coconut oil is also used in the cosmetics industry. Hair and body care, nourishing creams, sunscreens, baby oils, massage oils and many more products contain refined coconut oil. The animal industry has also discovered refined organic coconut oil. Animal care products are based on coconut oil. Organic coconut oil is also valuable as a feed supplement, in ready-made feeds or as a gift to Barf and is therefore appreciated by pet owners.
