Walnuts are not only classified according to their size and integrity, but also according to their color. Light walnuts have a balanced, nutty aroma. They are especially popular in pastry shops, but also the end consumers appreciate the light color and taste of this assortment. Like all walnuts, our light organic walnuts bring essential minerals and vitamins. They are rich in vitamins A and E and are therefore a valuable antioxidant in the fight against free radicals. Their carbohydrate content of about 10 g is rather low, so that they are suitable for the low carb diet. Organic walnuts are unbeatable when it comes to the content of polyunsaturated fatty acids. At around 42 g, they are far ahead of other nuts, without their energy content deviating upwards from these. Our half organic walnuts, light in color, are left in their natural state so that their spicy-fine taste comes to the fore with every use.
Use
The fully aromatic taste and interesting appearance make half walnuts so popular. They are therefore an important decoration for cakes and pastries in confectionery. Walnuts have their tradition not only in gingerbread, but also on them. As a garnish on pralines or on cheese preparations the noble nuts are a must. Walnut halves are also a must in high-quality nut blends. Whether they are roasted and salted, candied or left in their natural state is entirely up to you. Light half organic walnuts darken only slightly during processing. They also convince after baking or a longer storage – as with gingerbread and biscuits – by their appealing appearance.
